Specialist Parent-Infant Therapist

Contribute directly and indirectly to a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all clients of the services, across all settings and agencies serving the client group e.g. parents and their infants Responsible for recording all patient related activity information onto Trust reporting systems. Ensure the maintenance of accurate and timely documentation / records on all clients in line with professional code and Trust policy Seeking support on the management of more complex cases To provide advice and programs to others, nursery staff and family hub/children center staff, regarding the management and care of children and infant with complex emotional needs To demonstrate clinical effectiveness by use of evidence-based practice and manage clinical risk within defined caseload. To develop the ability to monitor and reflect on auditory, visual, and kinesthetic aspects of clients communication and to identify appropriate strategies to facilitate and enhance
communicative effectiveness. To recommend and implement alternative/augmentative communication programs and equipment necessary to meet individual needs. To demonstrate the ability to reflect on practice with peers/clinical supervisor and seek support as necessary.
