Full Job Description

The Payroll Specialist supports the day-to-day processing of the XPO payroll service, ensuring that the service is delivered in an accurate, efficient and a timely manner, with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service at all times. The Payroll Specialist is a key component in ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time.,

  • Manually entering payroll information into ADP Global View [SAP GV] payroll system
  • Editing and loading spreadsheets.
  • Ensure employees' data is maintained, including absence records, entitlements, ensuring accurate calculations are made for any statutory payments.
  • Dealing with pay queries in a timely manner.
  • Updating employee payroll records, including P45, new starter declarations, tax, NIC data and any other relevant employee changes
  • Complete payroll reports for record keeping purposes and site / managerial review.
  • Pension adjustments/ report reconciliation.
  • Updating the ticketing system.
  • Proactively build and maintain good relationship with allocated sites, including occasional site visits to support with payroll related issues.

    Essential: Previous payroll experience
  • Essential: Knowledge to gross to net calculations.
  • Essential: Experience in dealing with a large number of employees - 1000 per week or 3000 per month.
  • Essential: Excellent communication and stakeholder management at all levels.
  • Essential: Experience in fixing contractual variable payments and absence.
  • Essential: Strong expertise on Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Desirable Experience working on a SAP system.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of TUPE's.
  • Desirable: Understanding of pensions.
  • Desirable: System testing and development.
  • Desirable: CIPP part qualified- working towards or happy to take.
