Full Job Description

Would you like to work in a friendly and supportive perinatal team delivering a service across Hull, East Riding, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire to women experiencing perinatal difficulties?

Do you like the idea of using your skills in a rewarding and fulfilling way to help women at a crucial point in their lives?

If the answer is yes, then the Specialist Perinatal Practitioner role might be for you. We currently have two Specialist Perinatal Practitioner Posts available, one full time and the other 4 days a week.

Working in a perinatal team means that you can help women like Hayley in our #EveryMumMatters video (www.everymummatters.com).

Main duties of the job

We know that providing person centred care and intervention can impact significantly on quality of life for women as well as that of their children and families.

You will be implementing early interventions using a biopsychosocial approach and developing individualised care plans for the management of mental health in the antenatal, labour and postnatal periods for our women including mental health birth plans.

The post holder will primarily be required to work as a specialist practitioner providing evidence based interventions to treat perinatal conditions. Your day to day activities will also include giving preconception advice to women with major mental health difficulties as well as providing specialist assessments and early identification of mental health issues using NICE recommendations with early referrals to mental health services when required.

We are an award winning and CQC rated good health and social care Trust delivering integrated services across Hull, East and North Yorkshire.Find out more on our website
