Full Job Description
Investment in facilities includes automated dispensing in our large main dispensary, which covers inpatient, outpatient and home delivery services. We have four satellite dispensaries, attached to specialist areas to promote efficient dispensing., · Work as a clinical support for clinicians, nurses and pharmacy peers across relevant specialties.
· Deputise for the Team Leader and represent the team within the organisation and across interface boundaries.
· Work as an expert pharmacist within neonatal, paediatric and women teams, contributing to advanced decision making.
· Active member of the relevant Care Groups in ensuring effective and safe use of medicines.
+ Contribute to a pharmacy strategy and operational plan to meet the needs of the organisation
· Progress service improvement initiatives through multi-disciplinary working to ensure safe and timely provision of medicines.
· To participate in research and audit.
This is an exceptional career opportunity for an experienced, high calibre pharmacist looking to further develop their career, leadership, clinical and prescribing skills within Children and Women Services at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will need to be flexible and organised, be able to align their values with those of the organisation, have excellent communication skills and be confident to provide training and guidance to the multidisciplinary team., We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to make a difference and ensure the best outcomes for our patients. We will provide the successful candidate with a comprehensive induction covering all aspects of Trust work, support from senior pharmacy staff and an environment to develop further.
The Pharmacy team is highly regarded in the Trust and has close to 300 staff members. The department is friendly, forward thinking and constantly expanding with opportunities for personal development and further postgraduate education. Furthermore, we are constantly expanding our pool of non-medical prescribing pharmacists.
