Specialist Pharmacist - Clinical Trials

The post holder will support the senior and lead pharmacists for clinical trials in the provision of a safe and effective clinical trials pharmacy service to Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.They will act as the specialist pharmacist for clinical trials and will be responsible for ensuring that operational services are running smoothly within the section and provide a specialist clinical trials pharmacy service to Moorfields patients., The post holder will act as the Specialist Pharmacist for Clinical Trials and will be responsible for:o Supporting all aspects of operational clinical trials dispensing services.o Supporting and senior and lead clinical trials pharmacists in the setup of new clinical trials and managing any trial amendments.o To ensure that all approvals are in place, all necessary documentation is included in the pharmacy study files and training provided to clinical trials pharmacy and relevant research staff before commencement of the study.o To review relevant protocols, SOPs, and policies as required.o Assist with monitoring visits and queries from clinical trial monitors.o To contribute regularly to review and approval of clinical trial costings and the preparation of usage and expenditure reports in relation to clinical trials.o To ensure that all clinical trials are conducted appropriately with regard to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and all other relevant medicines
regulations and ethical requirements.
