Specialist Pharmacist - Clinical Trials

To support all aspects of operational clinical trials dispensing services To be responsible for pharmacy set-up of allocated clinical trials To review trial protocols, liaise with sponsors and the research team To ensure that all approvals are in place, all necessary documentation is included in the pharmacy study files and training provided to clinical trials pharmacy and relevant research staff before commencement of the study. To be responsible for timely management, approval, and implementation of all clinical trials amendments and work with the Research and Development team to implement this. Assist with monitoring visits and queries from clinical trial monitors in a timely manner. To support the Senior and Lead Pharmacists for Clinical Trials in ensuring relevant risk assessments are completed for sponsored clinical trials involving Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs), Advanced Therapy Investigational Medicinal Products (ATIMPs), Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal
Products (CTIMPs). To support the Senior and Lead Pharmacists for Clinical Trials in ensuring that all research governance issues involving pharmacy are addressed and that relevant documents are maintained. To maintain a forefront awareness of all relevant legislation and clinical guidelines and to interpret their implications for clinical trials. To deputise for the Senior Clinical Trials Pharmacist in his/her absence. To provide daily supervision, training and clinical assessments for Pharmacy staff working within the Clinical Trials section. To act as a direct line manager to clinical pharmacists as required and to set annual objectives, personal development plans and to regularly review progress of junior staff within the team.Please refer to the job description and personal specification document attached to this post.
