Full Job Description

You will utilise your clinical skills and experience by providing clinical pharmacy services to wards and other areas, assisting with the training and development of others and supporting the improvement of the services. You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team and will help maintain the high standard of services that are already provided. Independent Prescribing is integral to our pharmacist's roles. In these posts you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge and specialist skills within one of the following Clinical Management Groups: Emergency and Specialist Medicine · Acute Medicine, Neurology, Stroke, Geriatrics, Diabetes, Endocrinology, Infectious Diseases, Rheumatology and Dermatology. Urology, Gastroenterology and GI/Musculoskeletal/Specialist Surgery · Gastroenterology · Trauma, Orthopaedics and Ortho-geriatrics · Colorectal, GI and Specialist surgery (inc bariatrics, ENT, burns, plastics, max fax, head and neck surgery, urology and hepato-pancreato-biliary services and ophthalmology) Post holder will be expected to contribute towards evening, on-call, bank holiday and weekend rotas.,

  • To support the CMG Lead Pharmacist in maintaining and improving the pharmaceutical service to the clinical management group (CMG). · To be responsible for the delivery of an agreed standard of pharmaceutical care to identified patients in order to achieve the safe and cost effective use of medicine.
