Full Job Description

This post is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated pharmacist with a clinical pharmacy background to join the Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Womens and Childrens Pharmacy Team. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide a highly specialist clinical pharmacy service to paediatric critical respiratory team The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work across other areas of Women's and Child Health including general paediatrics, paediatric hepatology, neonatology and maternity., Key activities of the post holder will be to: + Provide extensive pharmaceutical care and medicines management services to paediatric CF and respiratory patients + Ensure delivery of optimal pharmaceutical care to other areas across Women's and Children's Health services + Assist with optimisation of Epic Electronic Healthcare Systems across paediatrics + Deputise for the Principal Pharmacist Women's and Children's + Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds and other clinical meetings + Participate in clinical audit, risk management and clinical guideline development + Provide supervision, education and training to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals,

  • Act as a specialist role model and an expert in the medical management within paediatric cystic fibrosis/ respiratory
  • Lead and manage clinical pharmacy services in Women and Children in conjunction with the Principal Pharmacist.
  • Participate regularly in outpatient clinics to deliver and promote high quality, cost-effective and patient focused pharmaceutical care.
  • Act as a pharmacist independent prescriber to optimise the care of patients within the speciality
  • Ensure a high level of clinical pharmacy input to the care of patients within Women and Children.
