Full Job Description

To support the lead Pharmacist in the implementation and promotion of Antimicrobial stewardship within the Trust.
Using EPMA, monitor and review prescriptions for antimicrobials and escalate to clinical Pharmacists where review of antimicrobials is required
To support the lead Pharmacist in the delivery of national and local antimicrobial stewardship strategies, including the antimicrobial resistance and stewardship CQUIN
To support Data analysis and present reports to feedback antibiotic audit results and actions identified by the audits
To review trends and themes from incidents, performance, infection rates and RCA outputs to inform service objectives, research and training
strategy

Working for our organisation
We operate from three main hospitals -Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

We are looking for enthusiastic Pharmacy Technicians to support with antimicrobial stewardship service for University Hospitals of Morecambe
Bay.
You must be a qualified (GPhC registered) Pharmacy Technician, be competent, able to prioritise work and have the ability to implement change
as well as manage and develop services.
You will ideally be working towards your Technician Clinical Diploma or willing to complete it if successful.
You will need to be able to prioritise workload efficiently and effectively, work accurately in a timely manner in the face of frequent interruptions.
