Full Job Description

As part of this role, you will support the Pharmacy Technician Team Manager for Dispensaries to ensure that both dispensaries meet quality and activity targets. You will manage the workload of the dispensary and supervise staff on a day-to-day basis, organising rotas and cover for any unexpected staff absences to ensure a safe, effective, and timely service in accordance with current legislation and guidance and supported by policies and procedures. You will also hold HR management responsibilities.

An exciting opportunity has presented for a full time self-motivated and committed individual to develop their leadership skills in this management role.

We are looking for an astute and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team and to team lead medicines management dispensary services based at Hollins Park Hospital Warrington with the ask to cross cover at Maghull on a regular basis.

We strive to develop the knowledge and skills of our workforce to enable them to advance personally and professionally and this is that ideal career development prospect. Therefore, recruiting the best talent to fulfil this role is really important to us. To help us achieve this, you must be able to demonstrate core leadership and organisational skills as well as extensive knowledge of dispensary services. The ability to inspire and motivate others is central to the success of this role.

Mersey Care is one of the largest Trusts providing physical health and mental health services in the North West. We serve more than 1.4 million people across the region (Halton, Warrington, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and St Helens) and provide commissioned services that cover the North West, North Wales and the Midlands.

We offer specialist inpatient and community services that support physical and mental health and specialist inpatient mental health, learning disability, addiction and brain injury services. Mersey Care is one of only three trusts in the UK that offer high secure mental health facilities.

At the heart of all we do is our commitment to 'perfect care' - care that is safe, effective, positively experienced, timely, equitable and efficient. We support our staff to do the best job they can and work alongside service users, their families, and carers to design and develop future services together.

We call this continuous improvement in quality and cost, 'striving for perfect care'. Our aim is to play a full part in the health and social care economies we serve, by promoting and driving greater integration between mental and physical health and social care.
