Full Job Description

We are seeking a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapists with a passion for neuro rehabilitation to join the team at Northumberland Head Injuries Service (NHIS). NHIS is a specialist community neuro rehab service for patients with traumatic brain injury living in Northumberland.

The successful candidates will provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation for patients with complex neurological conditions. The successful candidate will provide rehabilitation to patients from across the County at base, in residential care environments or in the patients home .

The service has a robust supervision structure and the post holder will benefit from access to regular in service training to further develop their skills., To be responsible for the specialist assessment and management and physiotherapy service provision for service users who have a variety of complex physiotherapy needs, diverse presentations driving from having sustained a traumatic brain injury.

To manage and provide on-going specialist physiotherapy assessment andtreatment using evidence based practice.

The post holder will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team ensuring that high quality, individualised care is delivered and that this maximises independence and promotes recovery and wellbeing

To facilitate and support the delivery of Physiotherapy Student Education within the clinical setting.

To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.

To provide clinical supervision and leadership to staff as delegated by the team lead

For this post you will need to be HCPC registered with a degree/diploma in Physiotherapy and have relevant experience in neuro rehabilitation.
