Full Job Description
Do you enjoy working holistically to make a difference in peoples lives? Are you keen to use and develop your therapy skills in a complex and developing area? The newly established Post-viral Fatigue service could offer you the opportunity to do just that! This service has been redesigned from two existing multi-disciplinary teams to provide care and support to people with ME/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Long Covid across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Duties could typically include:
- Assessments: to undertake holistic assessments and reviews
- Interventions: to provide clinical treatments virtually and face-to-face, including management of activity and post-exertional malaise/ symptom exacerbation, breathing practices, strategies to improve sleep, goal setting, mindfulness and other individually tailored interventions for people living with post-viral conditions
- To identify, plan and organise the development and evaluation of Physiotherapy services
- within the service, holding responsibility for defined projects.
- Group work: to deliver and evaluate a group-based educational programme, and other relevant group activities for people with ME/CFS and PCS.
- Research & audit: to contribute to service development and evaluation, audit and research projects.
- To provide professional leadership and supervision to junior staff, students and participation partners within the service
- To offer advice and support to guide staff within the Trust working with clients with post-viral conditions
