Full Job Description

  • To be responsible for a overall therapy clinical caseload and ensure that the patients/residents receive appropriate assessment and treatment to a high professional standard, in accordance with the Professional Standards and Code of Ethics of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP). To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of own work and supervision of others.
  • To undertake specialist assessment of residents, including those with diverse or complex physical disability and multi-pathologies; use clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate foundation for the physio-therapeutic management of residents conditions.
  • To be responsible to undertake (a) a specialist assessment of neurological physiotherapy, neuro-musculoskeletal (b) providing tailored physical therapy / physical activity program on a wide range of intervention options and (c) to monitor, evaluate residents progress with appropriate and valid outcome measures to formulate the resident-centred care through framework / model of care e.g ICF. (d) respiratory assessment for complex non-invasive ventilation therapy and care support.
  • To ensure competence in the use of all required equipment and are used safely at all times during treatment; and to ensure residents competence in and safe use of any appliances and aids used by them.
