Full Job Description

We are looking for a motivated, dedicated and innovative individual who is eager to expand their knowledge within neuro rehab, has a passion for assessing and treating complex neurological patients. You would see a variety of patients and lead by example with your passion for improving clinical outcomes and care provision. . You will be supported by the band 7's within the team. This is a really exciting time for our service as we continue to develop and implement change, innovation and service delivery., To undertake advanced assessment and treatment of neurological patients, who may have complex and /or chronic presentation, including those with Tracheostomy. To have specialist skills in the holistic assessment of the needs of these patients. To lead assessment, liaison and decision-making processes on behalf of the MDT for patients. To develop treatment plans and recommend where rehabilitative input is indicated. To undertake a significant clinical caseload to a high professional standard, using specialist knowledge from theoretical and practical experience. To support the Team Lead(s) in the planning, co-ordination and evaluation of the Physiotherapy Service provided within the service on a day-to-day basis, and to cover for any other area with this specific caseload as necessary. To support the Team Lead(s) to monitor and improve standards of care by efficient use of resources, utilising clinical audit and research within this clinical area. Due to a internal secondment, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and skilled Physiotherapist to join our Neuro Rehab team for a 6-8 month period dependant on start date., through the hospital and across the Greater Manchester neurorehabilitation services. To work as an autonomous practitioner being professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your work, managing own caseload and maintaining patient and own records To Support band 5 physiotherapists, Therapy assistants and Students within Neuro Rehab using appraisal, supervision and PARE To manage complex respiratory needs and Tracheostomy weaning
