Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Podiatrist to join the CWP High Risk Podiatry team. We are a friendly and close knit team who take pride in what we do.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure as an individual and as part of the wider team.

You will work as an autonomous practitioner using evidence-based practice to formulate and deliver individualised treatment plans for patients in community clinical settings as wells as in people's homes.

You will work alongside experienced podiatrists and be encouraged in your professional development, having access to regular clinical supervision.

Main duties of the job

The clinical work will involve working within clinical settings as well as carrying out domiciliary visits. A car is essential to this role. You will be responsible for the delivery of care plans in patients who are high risk of developing foot complications. You will work with patients who have foot ulcerations, make onward referrals to vascular services, refer into the Diabetes MDT service and acute services.

You will undertake nail surgery and carry out new patient assessments, as well as have involvement within the Biomechanics service.

CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care - including the provision of three GP surgeries.

Our aim is to help people to be the best they can be, adopting a compassionate, person-centred approach to everything we do. We were recently rated as Outstanding for Caring by the Care Quality Commission with a Good rating overall.

To support this, we offer up to three weeks induction, dependent on role, with our Prepare to Care programme for all new starters. This programme welcomes you to CWP and provides you with information and training to support you in your role.

We welcome applications from people who have direct experience of accessing our services.
