We are looking for motivated individuals who are flexible to the needs of the service to join our dynamic team here at Glangwili General Hospital in West Wales.

The general x-ray department is completely DR with all new equipment including Samsung DR rooms, mobiles, new Philips II and a Siemens Artis Zee for fluoroscopy.

Post graduate training and promotion into advanced practitioner status is encouraged. The Health board has a lot of extended practice including Plain film, CT and MRI reporting and radiographer led and reported HSG/barium studies.

The area is surrounded by beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside, unspoilt beaches and is close to Swansea and an hour from Cardiff.

The successful candidates must take part in the on-call rotation which is additional to contracted hours.

Applicants will possess BSc / DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography, and HCPC registration. The successful applicants will be based at Glangwili General Hospital but will be expected to be flexible in their approach to the needs of the service and may be required to work at other sites within the Health Board.

The post is a full-time position plus participation in extended days and the out of hours rota. Part time or job share are welcome to apply.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen is looking for a Band 6 CT Radiographer.

Glangwili General Hospital is a busy district general hospital which has major trauma status for West Wales.

Role extension is encouraged, and we have Radiographer led Barium swallows and hysterosalpingograms, Plain film, CT and MRI Radiographer reporting and opportunities for post graduate study including ultrasound training.

The department has a busy on call, which is staffed on site for General and CT. Participation in on call is mandatory after training and induction has been completed. All modalities work extended days and weekends., Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers, through:

Four main hospitals: Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest;

Seven community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire;

48 general practices (four of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres
