Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced part-time Renal Dietitian to join our team of Renal Dietitians at the Denmark Hill site of King's College Hospital. The successful applicant will have a strong clinical background within the specialist area and excellent behaviour change and interpersonal skills. You will be an integral member of our supportive multidisciplinary renal team delivering high quality, patient-centred renal dietetic care. This Band 7 post is part-time - 0.6WTE (22.5 hours per week).

At King's, we provide a specialist dietetic service to renal inpatients and outpatients, in areas including dialysis, advanced kidney care, nephrology and weight management. We regularly evaluate our practice, know our worth, and often present our work at conferences. You will be responsible for managing your own caseload, contributing to service development and providing support and guidance to dietetic and multidisciplinary team colleagues., You will be responsible for a clinical renal caseload and providing expert advice and guidance to other members of the team. You will be responsible for ensuring safe practice and contributing to the delivery, and evaluation of, an effective and efficient service. You will provide expertise and input into the planning and implementation of care pathways, protocols and support the leadership and management team.

Our large dietetics department expects all staff to be involved in the teaching of other healthcare professionals, in line with our mission to provide excellence in clinical care, research and teaching in King's Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre.
