Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our forward thinking, dynamic Safeguarding Team within the ICB in Hertfordshire and West Essex. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated nurse, social worker or health professional to support the Designated Professionals with all activities relating to safeguarding and protecting adults and children. You will provide support on the health inequality and HWEICB Safeguarding priority portfolio to ensure patient outcomes and experiences are in line with required quality standards.Main duties of the job Provide Safeguarding expertise, specialist knowledge and support,particularly those requiring highly specialist advice, or where there is some level of complexity or risk in relation to their mental or physical health. Assist the Associate Directors and Designated Team to provide assurance to the HWEICB Boards on robustness of safeguarding standards. Be responsible for providing an effective, credible and competent level of support in order that robust mechanisms are in place that demonstrate quality improvement is applied to safeguarding. Develop, implement and evaluate a seamless specialist service within primary care and support the primary care action plan delivery Work effectively with all levels of staff within the Hertfordshire West Essex ICBs and be a point of contact in relation to safeguarding. Develop and maintain effective inter-disciplinary and inter-agency working relationships in partnership with Police, Local Authority, Education and Voluntary Sector. Provide support to the Prevent agenda across Hertfordshire and West Essex. Support Primary care to complete chronologies and Individual Management Reports in relation to Adult safeguarding reviews, Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews and Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews. Associated learning from these reviews will be shared and action plans monitored by the post holder and team.
