Full Job Description
The opportunity has arisen at Alderwasley Hall School Sixth Form for a Team Leader on our Residential Care. You will be a member of a strong team that has been judged as Good by Ofsted. We are looking for motivated, committed and competent individuals who can make a positive difference to our students. A strong awareness of safeguarding practice is essential as well as being able to promote equality, diversity and inclusion at all times. You will be a mentor and leader and provide support and advice to your colleagues. The role of Team Leader requires you to be a positive role model for others and have an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary environment. All staff must be flexible and willing to work shifts that include some evenings, weekends, school holidays (including Bank Holidays) and sleep-ins.
Successful applicants should be:-
- enthusiastic, patient, understanding and have excellent team working skills.
- You must hold a Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in Caring for Children and Young People
- Have at least two years direct experience in residential child care.
- A strong background of working with children.
- Have no recent record of disciplinary or concerns about their practice.
Alderwasley Hall School and Sixth Form provides exceptional education for day and residential students aged 5 to 20. We transform the lives of young people with High-Functioning ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), Asperger's Syndrome, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and Developmental Language Disorder. We are also highly experienced in meeting associated diagnoses and needs, such as Selective Mutism, anxieties and phobias. Our goal for every one of our students is to be happy and healthy with a sense of belonging and purpose.
Salary: £23,790.00 - £24,102.00 - dependent on experience and qualifications Hours: 40 hours per week over 52 weeks (10 weeks holiday) Location: Alderwasley Hall Sixth Form, - 10 weeks holiday
