We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly team at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM).

Speech and Language Therapy is a highly skilled and highly valued team here at UHNM. We pride ourselves on working together as oneteam and we are looking for an enthusiastic therapist to join us for the opportunity to work in a vibrant acute teaching hospital organisation. It is also an exciting time for our Speech and Language Therapy service and workforce, with a newly appointed Head of Speech and Language Therapy to drive service improvement. UHNM has also introduced a Chief Allied Health Professional (AHP) and our first strategy for AHPs is about to be launched, raising the profile of all AHP professions across the organisation., We are the specialist centre for major trauma for the North Midlands and North Wales. We have put together a wide range of development packages aimed at ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to fulfil their potential. Thepost holderwill haveclinical responsibility within the specialty of acute stroke, based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and community stroke, based within the Integrated Community Stroke Rehabilitation Service in East Cheshire.Theywill manage a caseload of patients with communication difficulties and dysphagia arising from stroke. The role also provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with wider teams across on the acute wards. Our combined goal is to provide an excellent standard of care across all pathways, with patient welfare being at the heart of everything we do., University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is one of the largest and most modern in the country. We serve around three million people and we're highly regarded for our facilities, teaching and research. The Trust has around 1,450 inpatient beds across two sites in Stoke-on-Trent and Stafford. Our 11,000 strong workforce provide emergency treatment, planned operations and medical care from Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital in Stafford.
