Full Job Description

This would suit a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist looking for their first specialist post or a experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist looking to extend and develop there skills. This is a varied role with opportunities for formal and informal support from our Clinical Leads. We have Clinical Lead SLTs in School Age Social Communication and Autism, Stammering, Complex Needs and Mainstream Schools. We are committed to supporting and funding Continuing Professional Development.

Main duties of the job
Within the mainstream school and special schools teams you will be responsible for managing your own caseload within identified schools, providing assessment, therapy, advice and training as required. An ability to develop strong working relationships with education staff is essential and you will also have the opportunity to work closely with our SALTA who provides therapy in school to specific children.
We would consider this role as part time or flexible working. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss this exciting opportunity or arrange a visit to meet the team., To assess, and manage your own caseload of children with speech, language and communication delay and disorder in mainstream schools and special school.
To provide advice to other professionals and parents in order to support the needs of children with speech, language and communication delay and disorder in specialist area.
To liaise with other agencies and services e.g. schools, social care, and voluntary agencies.
To advise and provide clinical support to other therapists.
