The Manchester Speech and Language Therapy Service is committed to providing a high-quality service to children and families across the city of Manchester., This is a exciting new initiative to support delivery of the Communication and Language pathway input to families of early years children across Manchester and extend this support offer to practitioners in early years PVI settings and schools foundation stage. The role would be working alongside a team of Speech and Language therapists and Language Development workers.

There is a strong training requirement within this role

The role will provide an opportunity to work closely with early years settings to develop the role of communication champions and raise practitioners' skills in supporting children's language development.

There will be a need to support the work of language development workers. early years practitioners and foundation stage teachers to raise the quality of support for the children's language development within early years working in the home and in early years settings/schools

Manchester Speech and Language Therapy hasa large, well-established and supportive department.We provide you with regular clinical supervision, protected time for CPD opportunities and special interest groups as well as support from an experiencedteam.We also offer a comprehensive induction programme, regular face to face meetings, and annual appraisals to develop your knowledge and skills.

We are looking for an experienced, flexible, and enthusiastic band 6 Speech and Language Therapists to support and extend on the work of the established Communication and Language Early Years team in Manchester., You will need an accredited degree or equivalent Certificate to practice and be registered with HCPC.You will have a thorough theoretical knowledge of early year's communication impairments (0-4 years) and experience of delivering training.

These are fixed term 12-month Band 6 full time posts - 37.5 hours per week.

The focus of the established team has been to embed a citywide, multi agency communication and language pathway to provide early identification and support for children with moderate language difficulties.
