Full Job Description

The successful applicant will work, for part of the week, in a Primary Special school for children with severe learning disabilities focussing on children aged 4-8 years with learning disabilities and complex social, communication and interaction difficulties, including autism. For the remaining sessions there are opportunities to work in mainstream primary and secondary schools. Why not call to discuss your personal clinical interests and how these could be developed within our supportive, clinically diverse and innovative team? This post would be ideal for therapists looking to further develop their specialist clinical and leadership skills. This is a band 6 post however we would accept applications from band 5s who are looking to develop their skills., 1. Improving representation at senior levels of staff with disabilities, from black, Asian, and ethnic minorities background, identify as LGBTQ+ and women, through improved recruitment and leadership development
2. Widening access (anchor institution) and employability
3. Improving the experience of staff with disability
4. Improving the EDI literacy and confidence of trust staff through training and development
5. Making equalities mainstream

The successful candidates will be highly motivated, committed to working in partnership, have experience of working with children and young people and their families/carers in school settings, be innovative, adaptable and able to work as part of a team.
