Full Job Description

The post holder will assess children and young people to identify language concerns and ASD traits. The post holder will work within the MDT to assist with the diagnostic outcomes for children and young people being assessed for ASD.

The post holder will be responsible to keep up to date with mandatory training.

Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work within the Neurodevelopment Assessment Team for Teesside.

The Neurodevelopment Assessment Team for Teesside assess children and young people aged 5 - 18 years old for ASD. The team covers the areas of Middlesbrough, Stockton, Hartlepool and Redcar. The successful post holder will be based at The Glades, Acklam Road Hospital, Middlesbrough, TS5 4EE.

The post holder will work alongside the wider MDT which includes psychiatry, nursing, support workers, admin staff and psychologists., We are the Mental Health & Learning Disability NHS Trust for County Durham and Darlington, Teesside, North Yorkshire, York and Selby.
