Full Job Description
Would you like to provide speech and language therapy for children with Hearing Impairment and Complex Special Needs. Due to maternity leave we have an opportunity for you to be a important part of an established community SLT team at Mid Yorkshire Teaching Hospital, on a fixed term basis. The successful candidate would provided therapy within HI Resources and a range of Special Schools across the district.Our SLT's benefit from robust supervision alongside encouraging CPD and innovative practice. You will be part of the special school team and will be supported within the friendly inclusive therapy department. The team offers a full induction programme, regular team meetings and peer support. If you would like to join our highly experienced Children's Speech and Language therapy Team please apply., To provide Speech and Language assessment and interventions to nursery and school-aged children with complex communication difficulties in special schools.
To support children with hearing impairment who are placed within the local authority mainstream primary and secondary resourced provisions.
To provide clinical expertise to colleagues within the SLT team offering clinical supervision as required
To offer training to others both internally and externally regarding communication development.
To ensure all client care is assessed, planned and evaluated according to RCSLT guidelines.
