Full Job Description

We are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and creative Specialist Speech and Language Therapists to be part of our well established service within the beautiful and diverse county of Hertfordshire. We are looking to recruit to 2 full time SLTs. These posts will be based in the east of the county covering Bishop Stotford, Waltham Cross or Hertford. These posts come with numerous opportunities to develop your specialist skills. There are also opportunities to work with children and young people from 0-18 in preschool, clinic, mainstream schools and colleges including opportunities in specialist provisions for CYP with learning difficulties and complex needs. You will be joining an innovative and agile Children and Young People's Therapies (CYPT) service committed to delivering high quality care and transforming lives. Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust provides Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy Services for families across the county. Our integrated service provides opportunities for collaborative working, joint training and shared learning . We are jointly commissioned by health and education, allowing us to provide a seamless pathway of care from early years through to schools, specialist provisions and further education settings. You will work with children and young people (CYP) from 0-18, working collaboratively within settings, providing assessment and therapy to meet the needs of CYP. You will also have opportunity to further develop specialist clinical skills in areas such as DLD and speech disorders, stammering, ASD and cleft palate. As a specialist speech and language therapist you will use your skills and experience to support the wider SLT team.

Successful candidates will need to be enthusiastic and motivated. Good communication, clinical reasoning and organisational skills are essential. You must be a team player but be able to work autonomously and have the ability to champion the needs of your patients. Applicants wanting to work full time or part time will be considered.   • Regular group supervision, managerial supervision and a well-established appraisal system
