As a Band 7 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist the post holder will be responsible for performing advanced assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex medical, physical and psychological conditions, to develop and deliver an individualised management/treatment programme. Following assessment the post holder will be responsible for making therapeutic and/or clinical diagnoses and treating their own caseload of specialised and complex patients/clients and maintaining associated records.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our well-established Neonatal therapy team. We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist with experience and advanced skills in working with infants and children with feeding and swallowing disorders in an acute or community setting.
This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills working with premature infants and their families to support their feeding journey within level 3 and level 2 Neonatal Units at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Embedded within Children's Therapy services, this post supports provision to infants on the Neonatal Units at St Mary's Hospital and Queen Charlottes and Chelsea Hospital, with intermittent cover to acute paediatrics at St Mary's Hospital.
The Neonatal multidisciplinary team aims to provide high quality multidisciplinary care for infants accessing services both as in and outpatients, including a multidisciplinary feeding clinic. Multidisciplinary teaching forms an essential part of service delivery to staff and parents/carers to support the development of feeding and communication skills in infants, delivery of Family Integrated Care and Neonatal Unicef Baby Friendly Initiative accreditation.
You will be well supported by the Clinical Lead Specialist Neonatal Speech and Language Therapist. We have a strong commitment to clinical supervision and CPPD, with opportunities to contribute to audit and improvement projects.
