Specialist Technical Instructor - 3D CAD & Graphic Arts (0.6FTE)

Providing specialist technical instruction, support, advice and demonstrations in 3D CAD for all users, including the creation and delivery of technical workshops for small groups (15 max).

Experimental work and problem solving on a daily basis.

Working closely with Masters students to support their independent research projects.

Peer-to-peer learning with other technical specialists and continual learning as part of a dynamic team.

Do you have experience supporting users or clients with exciting and challenging 3D CAD projects using programs like Blender or Rhino? This is your opportunity to join a growing team of digital specialists supporting technical learning at the Royal College of Art for 3 days a week., An adaptable and highly motivated person to provide technical instruction, support, advice and demonstrations in 3D CAD and some related graphic art processes such as 2D rendering. The ideal candidate will have experience, either in creating and manipulating 3D CAD data in the commercial sector, or teaching it as a technical process in Higher Education. They will have a keen ability to problem solve and an ambition to support emerging activities. Candidates will have:

Significant, highly skilled, specialist knowledge of 3D CAD software
Knowledge and experience of one of the following, Blender, Rhino, Grasshopper, or AutoCAD.
Experience of helping others in the application of 3D CAD software.
Experience of planning and delivering in person technical workshops.
