Do you have a drive and passion for Major Trauma? Would you like to work in a large major Trauma centre, home to London's Air Ambulance Service? The Royal London is a world-renowned specialist tertiary Major Trauma centre. An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist with an interest in Trauma to join the Neuro and Trauma team as a static band 6 Trauma Physiotherapist Therapist. This position will have exposure in Major Trauma, Orthopaedics and plastics wards with the possibility of rotating in the future. You will be part of a large, friendly, and dynamic multidisciplinary team, based at Royal London hospital, and this post will allow you to specialise in Trauma.
This will provide opportunities to provide assessment and intervention to adults who have been involved in major trauma across the North East London and Essex Trauma Network. You will be given the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills, and experience with working with those with traumatic brain injury, polytrauma, spinal cord injury, soft tissue injuries including those requiring flaps/grafts and degloving injuries, multiple orthopaedic injuries, and injuries of the organs., To assist and contribute to organising and delivering a high-quality physiotherapy service provided to patients following major trauma / trauma.
To provide interventions including the advanced assessment and treatment of patients, provision of individual and group education and treatment, provision of assistive devices (orthotics) and equipment, and respiratory assessment and treatment.
To work as Band 6 Physiotherapist on the Royal London site working primarily across Major Trauma, Orthopaedics and Plastics.
To support the wider Neuro & Trauma team as needed clinically and operationally (across Major Trauma, Orthopaedics and Plastics, and Neurosciences wards). There will be an expectation for the post holder to be part of the weekend working roster and the emergency on call roster.
