Full Job Description

The post holder will join the Barts Health Women's Health team, which are based over two sites, Whipps Cross and Newham University Hospitals. They will have the opportunity to be involved in many exciting projects for example, Gynecological and Colo-rectal multi-disciplinary Specialist clinics. They will have supervisory responsibility for a Band 5 physiotherapist and students, providing appraisals, teaching and clinical support with managing demanding caseloads. They will also have roles linked to the Band 7 line managers that will facilitate their managerial and leadership qualities. We have an excellent in-service training program and collaborate with relevant teachings with the Outpatient Musculoskeletal Team. We support you with post-graduate courses and modules and funding opportunities are available. The Women's Health team also has a strong Band 8 strategic and clinical leadership team, who support the Women's Health Physiotherapy team to deliver the best possible patient care.

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Women's Health specialist to join the Therapies team within Barts Health Trust. The post holder will be a qualified Physiotherapist, with at least 18 months experience within the physiotherapy specialty. They should be registered with the HPC, have completed at least one specialist Women's Health rotation, and have completed one Musculoskeletal rotation at a Band 5 or Band 6 level. They should have excellent baseline knowledge of Obstetrics and Gynecological conditions and physiotherapy management, and have experience of treating a variety of Women's Health inpatients and outpatients. Evidence of involvement in project management and audit will be desirable.
