The Specialty Business Manager for Medicine is a challenging role, but the reward is being part of something that matters to our teams and our patients. The Speciality Business Manager for Medical is responsible for the patient pathways within the Speciality units ensuring that all operational performance targets are monitored, tracked and delivered. In doing so, they provide leadership to, and management of, the performance and capacity teams. You will be expected to make a positive contribution to the provision and development of health services within Medicine and support and empower your teams to making a real difference. You will be a dynamic and engaging individual who is passionate about patient care and delivery of services that meet their needs. You will be expected to work in line with the Trust values and behave in a manner that facilitates the development of autonomous teams and individuals that are empowered, engaged and committed to continually delivering excellent care with compassion. You will work in line with the Trust's corporate objectives and will be expected to make a positive contribution to the provision of health services.   • To lead and manage the patient pathways within the Speciality business units (SBU) ensuring the best use of available resources to provide efficient and effective delivery of all services in line with best practice, quality standards and performance targets.
  • To develop a culture that encourages the use of initiative, individual and team responsibility and open communications.
