Speciality Doctor in Breast Surgery

We are recruiting for aSpecialty Doctor in ENTwho share our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best Peopleand have the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff., The breast surgery unit has a strong team spirit and is working towards a joint waiting list for outpatient referrals and operating list. The breast unit sees more than 6000 new referrals per year. There are 9 one-stop clinics with full radiology cover per week. The Breast unit is actively involved in research and national trials. Medway Maritime Hospital hosts Medway Breast Screening Unit with screening population of 110000 women. 150 screen detected cancers are treated per year.

The unit provides comprehensive Breast services treating benign and malignant conditions (screen-detected and symptomatic).The unit provides full range of oncoplastic procedures and breast reconstruction using implant-based or lattismus dorsi flaps on site. Breast reconstruction using microsurgery techniques are carried out by plastic surgeons at Queen Victoria hospital, East Grinstead. The unit works closely with the plastic surgeons at Queen Victoria Hospital. There is a plastic surgeon attended clinic on site once a week.
