Speciality Doctor in Gastroenterology

This is a full-time post of Specialty Doctor in Gastroenterology at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust and is an ideal post for a candidate planning to pursue higher training in Gastroenterology or CESR. The job will include out-patient gastroenterology clinics, ward work, MDT attendance and quality improvement programmes. Training opportunities will be provided in endoscopy and support given to enhance career development. ob Summary This is a full-time post of Specialty Doctor in Gastroenterology at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust and is an ideal post for a candidate planning to pursue higher training in Gastroenterology or CESR. The job will include out-patient gastroenterology clinics, ward work, MDT attendance and quality improvement programmes. Training opportunities will be provided in endoscopy and support given to enhance career development. Main Duties Work with colleagues to provide high quality patient care. Duties will consist of ward work, MDT attendance and gastroenterology
out-patient clinics. In addition, other duties will include quality improvement programmes, administration and continuing medical education. Training opportunities will be provided in endoscopy and once independent in that then duties will be adjusted to include independent endoscopy lists. Please note that the job plan may change on a weekly basis to maximise training opportunities whilst at the same time ensuring continuity of services. The successful candidate will be allocated a clinical/ educational supervisor and supported in career development.
