Full Job Description

We are looking for Specialty Doctor to provide high quality, effective, comprehensive, culturally-sensitive mental healthcare to patients within the Community Integrated Mental Health Service (CIMHS) North East sub-team. CIMHS provides integrated mental health care with primary care networks in Newham. Collaboration with other services and local providers is key to provide the best possible outcomes for the local population., The post-holder will be responsible for the assessment and management of mental health problems on a routine and emergency basis. On average 8 Programmed Activities per week will be devoted to Direct Clinical Care. 1 PA will be dedicated to Continuing Professional Development which will include local and Barts Academic programmes. The post holder will have the option of dedicating 1 PA to a special interest clinic or quality improvement work subject to agreement in their job-plan. General duties include but are not limited: + Work within a multidisciplinary setting offering psychiatric medical input in the assessment, treatment and care management of patients. + Provide up to date, effective, safe medical care for patients in order to ensure their recovery, and promote their insight with a view to relapse prevention. + Address physical health concerns in liaison with primary care services. + Offer advice and support to other members of the team in issues related to his/her competence and expertise. + Work as a leading member of the multidisciplinary team, linking closely with statutory and non-statutory services in the area as required. + Adhere to the Trust Clinical Leadership Model with senior clinicians' delivery of care within the principle of holistic care
