Essential

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • Desirable
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
  • MRCPsych.
  • Additional clinical qualifications.
  • Experience Essential
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Spent a minimum of four years (full time or equivalent) in postgraduate medical experience in the UK or equivalent medical experience. At least 2 years experience in psychiatry.
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 6 months of appointment.
  • Desirable
  • In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
  • Experience working in other medical specialties including general medicine, geriatric medicine and A&E.
  • Clinical Skills, Knowledge & Experience Essential
  • Excellent knowledge in specialty.
  • Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.

  • Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.
  • Able to provide clinical leadership to a multi-professional team and liaise with a wide variety of agencies.

This roleplays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need andwill be an integral role within the Enhanced Team .
