Full Job Description

The Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit to a 0.5 WTE Specialty Doctor Post for Maple Leaf Community Mental Health Team. We are looking for a candidate with full GMC registration, Section 12 approval and holding at least 4 years' experience or equivalent in postgraduate training with at least 2 years experience in Psychiatry. MRCPsych, at least Part 1 or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry is desirable. This great opportunity will provide:

  • Regular clinical supervision & separate CESR mentor
  • Specialty Doctor Tutor support and CESR / support forums., The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist as well as the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team. Maple Leaf CMHT is part of the Solihull Community Hub.
  • There are separate community teams for Older adults and Assertive Outreach Teams. There is also a dedicated Home treatment team located nearby at the Zinnia Centre. Whilst this is a service post, the successful candidates' career development will be strongly supported, looking to further training or a specialist interest.
