Full Job Description

The successful candidate will take part of the daily multi-disciplinary meetings in which it will be decided which patients are most suitable to be seen by them.
They will be supervised in assessing and treating both new patients presenting in crisis and those who have been accepted for home based treatment., This post is a specialty doctor post in the Adult Crisis and Home treatment team for a fixed period of 6 months. The successful candidate will be part of the multi-disciplinary team and will take part in daily meetings to discuss referrals to the crisis team as well as those on home-based treatment.
They will then be allocated patients to see in the community (mainly in their homes and often jointly with nursing staff) and to discuss these cases with the consultant psychiatrist working that day. They will also be given weekly clinical supervision by an allocated consultant.
