Full Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a specialty doctor just like you, seeking an alternative to the daily grind that only big cities can offer, to instead come and work in a friendly Emergency Department in Yeovil, Somerset. This can be a permanent or fixed term position, part time or full time, we are very adaptable, working on a fully flexible, self-rostered, annualised rota. country.,
- Key duties include the examination, investigation, treatment and referral (as appropriate) of patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
- To oversee the work of junior doctors (F1, F2 and ST VTS ), allied health professionals working in the department, to ensure that an acceptable standard of practice is maintained.
- To ensure that all medical staff have their appropriate breaks when acting as shift leader.
- To undertake on the floor teaching of medical and nursing students, junior medical and nursing staff in the department.
- To undertake departmental audits and Quality improvement projects.
