Full Job Description

The ENT service at SASH is seeking a dynamic and experienced doctor to join the team for a period of 1 year.

The post holder will join the existing team of Consultants and middle grade level doctors in the department. The work will involve working with the consultants in a variety of sub-specialities, including on-calls. Contribution to the on-call rota would be 1 in 6, week days and weekends. There is a busy general adult and paediatric ENT service and all consultants have special interests.

The Department of ENT has undergone considerable change over the last ten years and with expansion of the Trust this role will support its continued growth to meet the needs of an expanding and ageing population. The high standard of the ENT department is well recognised and the department support training and development opportunities for all doctors., This is an exciting time to join the unit where we are working on a number of projects, as well as adopting novel new treatments to ensure that the unit is delivering a world class gold standard of care and is at the forefront of new treatments.

We provide emergency and non-emergency services to the residents of East Surrey, North-East West Sussex, and South Croydon, including the major towns of Crawley, Horsham, Reigate and Redhill; a community of over 535,000 people. We provide acute and complex services and a range of outpatient, diagnostic services whilst Crawley Hospital and Horsham in West Sussex and Caterham Dene Hospital and Oxted Health Centre in Surrey provide less complex planned services. In 2019 the Care Quality Commission (CQC) rated our services as 'Outstanding' and we are one of the best performing Trusts in England:

    £59,175 to £95,400 a year per annum (depending on experience)
