Full Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Specialty Doctor to work on our Older Adult Home Treatment Team in the Harrow Older Adult Service, Bentley House, Harrow., The role is to provide clinical input to the Older Adult Home Treatment Team in Harrow. The post is 10PA Permanent and aligned with Harrow OPHA CMHT. The borough provides rich opportunity for audit and research and support for achieving personal development plans., The appointed doctor will have a central role in providing medical input within the Harrow OPHA Home Treatment Team. The team will be composed of senior Band 7 nurses along with Band 6 and 5 nursing staff and administrative resource. The doctor will work closely with the other members of the multidisciplinary team, in order to ensure that patients are provided with the highest standards of care. This will require regular reviews of caseload, management plans and addressing risk. There will be close working with harrow OPHA CMHT, Memory Service, Liaison Psychiatry and Ellington Ward.

The doctor will also be required to perform other clinical duties including home visits, Mental Health Act assessments and reviews in residential homes as required. The post holder will be expected to ensure that any leave taken is covered by local older adult consultants.

The service has strong links to Harrow Mental Health Services, including CNWL Community Mental Health Services and Adult Home Treatment Team in Harrow, Older Adult Liaison Services at Northwick park hospital and the Ellington ward which is the acute older adult psychiatric ward.

In line with the NHS 10-year long term plan, CNWL Harrow has embedded the Trauma Informed Approach. All staff receive regular training and supervision in both formulation and treatment, using this approach. The care is delivered by an integrated multi-disciplinary team with a shared sense of ownership for patients.

£59,175 to £95,400 a year plus £2162 London weighting allowance
