Full Job Description

CTMUHB are seeking Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry to join the Bridgend North Team covering the care of Older Adults under the direction of the two sector consultants. This post holder will join the existing Older Adults Psychiatry team covering Bridgend County Borough. The Specialty Doctor post is part of the established Older Adults Psychiatry Team providing psychiatric care to community and patients admitted to Angelton Clinic. The post holder responsibilities includes provision of clinical input into Mental Health Services for Older Adult in inpatient and community settings under the direction of the Consultants. The post holder will become an integral member of the Older Adults Psychiatry Team, providing medical input for older adults with mental health needs across inpatient and community care settings. The community teams are based in 71 Quarella Road and inpatient provision is provided from Angelton Clinic on the Glanrhyd Hospital site. The hospital and Care Home In-reach Team is based in the Princess of Wales Hospital., Day to day assessment, diagnosis, formulation of management plans, and review of patients. Management of patients with mental health needs in community and inpatient settings in the Bridgend locality under direction of the sector consultants. Managing patients in outpatient clinics and the monthly Lithium clinic.
