Join Our Innovative Specialist Mental Health Inpatient Unit as a Specialist (SAS) Doctor
Are you a dedicated and passionate specialist doctor looking to make a significant impact in a cutting-edge healthcare environment? We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our dynamic team at the AWP Regional LDA Unit.
The AWP Regional LDA Unit is a pioneering Specialist Mental Health Inpatient Unit for adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults. Our mixed-gender, adult unit is one of two regional 10-bedded units across the South West, primarily serving Bath and North East Somerset, Wiltshire, Swindon (BSW ICB), with referrals from other ICB regions too.

Join us in shaping the future of specialist mental health care for people with a learning disability and for autistic people., Deliver Expert Medical Care: Provide exceptional medical services to our service users, ensuring the highest standards of care
Mentor and Supervise: Guide and support junior medical staff, helping them grow and excel in their roles. Ensure compliance with the New Junior Doctor Contract 2016 and Working Time Directive.
Administrative Excellence: Efficiently manage administrative tasks related to patient care and clinical operations.
Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain precise and comprehensive clinical records, submitting them promptly.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to service and business planning for both local and broader mental health services.
Continuous Professional Development: Engage in annual appraisals, attend academic programs, and participate in CPD activities to stay at the forefront of medical advancements.
Professional Standards: Uphold professional registration with the General Medical Council and adhere to all professional codes of conduct.
