We have an opportunity for a Specialty Doctor to shape services at Cygnet Hospital Harrow while being fully supported by a Consultant Psychiatrist and first-class multidisciplinary team.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm, including 1:7 on-calls (5 weekdays on-calls and 2 weekend days on-calls).

Main duties of the job

Cygnet Hospital Harrow provides a recovery focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems. We also offer specialist diagnostic, assessment and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and who also have a dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

This role will be based on our 12-bed male acute service. The service provides a safe and stabilising environment for individuals who are experiencing an acute episode of mental illness and require an emergency admission.

With high staffing levels the service aims to help people stabilise and enable them to return to the community, or the least restrictive environment for them, as quickly as possible.

The MDT staff are actively encouraged and supported to complete Quality Improvement Projects, as part of our supportive culture to continue to improve on the quality of care we provide.There are excellent opportunities to progress your career in the form of support to complete MRCPsych exams.
