Full Job Description

Clinical Roles:
+ Attend ward rounds, conduct reviews, and create management plans for patients on the ward. It also includes chairing ward rounds and making decisions about patient care in the absence of the consultant, seeking advice from covering consultant when appropriate.
+ Complete, review and authorize discharge summaries as required.
+ MHA work including preparation of tribunal reports and presenting evidence at the tribunal hearings.
+ Assess and manage physical health for patients on the inpatient wards.
Leadership roles:
+ Participate in leading clinical decision making in the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
+ Be involved in developing service clinical priorities in line with national and professional guidance and standards.
+ Be involved in clinical governance related activities such as audits and quality improvement projects.
Educational roles:
+ Provide supervision and support to doctors in training working with the team.
