Full Job Description

The Children's Speech & Language Therapy Team aims to provide a high quality service to children, young people and their families. We provide assessment, interventions, advice and education to children and young people aged 0-19 with a Coventry GP. We also support children in Coventry schools with an Education, Health & Care Plan. We have developed clinical pathways and a competency programme in Speech, Language, Voice , Stammering, Dysphagia, Deafness, Cleft Palate, Alternative & Augmentative Communication and young children "At Risk" of SLCN.
Further information about the team can be found on our website: www.coventrychildrensslt.co.uk, We are committed to professional development and evidence based practice, offering regular in-service CPD days and peer group / one to one clinical supervision. Mentoring and management supervision are also provided as well as support from more experienced and specialist therapists. We will support you to achieve your RCSLT Newly Qualified Therapist competencies if required. Internal and external training courses are supported.
Being a member of a large Speech and Language Therapy team of SLTs and Assistants and close working with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy colleagues gives opportunities for lots of different clinical and training experiences.
CWPT are exploring rotations within our Mental Health and Learning Disabilities & Autism directorates and with system partners for adult therapy. This post could be included within the rotational consideration if the successful applicant is interested., We welcome applications from final year Speech and Language Therapy students. If successful at interview you may be added to our Talent Pool and informed when a suitable job becomes available closer to qualification.
