Full Job Description

The role will focus initially on working with a wide range of communication difficulties. Development of dysphagia skills will also be an essential part of the role over time, with appropriate clinical supervision from specialist colleagues. Candidates with post-graduate dysphagia training would be supported with these skills.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to become part of our community team working with adults with a learning disability (ALD). We are looking for an enthusiastic SLT who would like to gain experience in supporting patients with a range of communication and/or swallowing difficulties. This part time (22.5 hours per week) post offers the opportunity to work with an ALD caseload., The post holder should be keen to working collaboratively within a team, possess excellent communication skills and a desire to learn and develop.

We have a robust system of supervision and provide CPD opportunities throughout the year. Clinical supervision will be available from specialist colleagues in both the ALD and joint working practises are actively encouraged.
