Full Job Description

Due to some maternity leaves within our Children's Therapy Teams we are delighted to be able to offer the opportunity for you to come and join our passionate and friendly Speech and language therapists in Southampton City and South West Hampshire!

We are a large, dynamic and integrated therapy team of speech and language therapists, physios and occupational therapists which includes a number of specialist therapists and clinical pathway leads for the wider Hampshire area. We offer a robust supervision structure with joint working across the team, and a timetable that incorporates a range of development opportunities., To provide a specialist Speech & Language Therapy Service to children and young people on the caseload, some of whom may have additional needs. This position will primarily be working with children in mainstream schools , pre-schools and family hubs in the city but would be flexible to service needs.

To work as an autonomous practitioner, in collaboration with health and education staff, children/young people and their parents/carers.

To deliver integrated specialised packages of care to children with a broad range of speech, language and communication difficulties.

To provide support and mentoring to less experienced colleagues.

To train students, other healthcare professionals and staff from other agencies who work with children with speech and language difficulties.

We are looking for a full time paediatric speech and language therapist, initially for 12 month fixed term contract, with experience of working in clinics, pre-schools, schools and community settings.
