Full Job Description
· Leading on service developments
· Clinical assessments
· Communication plans
· Specialist speech interventions
· Reviewing targets
· Risk assessments
· Autism informed interventions to reduce the risk of an admission due to mental health crisis
· Trauma informed practice
· Creating autism profiles as part of a MDT
· Providing individualised training to families and care providers, In order to do this, we work with the network around the individual (e.g. Adult Mental Health, Social Care, Education) and work closely with commissioners. As a speech and language therapist you will have experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working as you will need to attend and chair regular MDT's, CETR's and EMDT's.
As a Speech and Language Therapist you would visit individuals at their home / at school / in appropriate setting multiple times a week to engage them and carry out our assessments and interventions.
