Full Job Description

Following a retendering process, the children's service is due to be transferred to the new provider on the 1st of April 2025. Given this post sits within the transferring service, in line with the legislative requirements, the successful candidate will be part of the TUPE transfer along with other colleagues.

You are (or soon will be) a qualified Speech and Language Therapist

You are looking for a job as a Newly Qualified Practitioner, a returner to practice of a Band 5 looking for support with progression towards Band 6 competencies

You would like to work with children aged 0-5 years with communication difficulties

You would like to work in the NW of Surrey

You would like to work for the NHS

You are looking for a friendly and supportive team to work with

Day to day you will be conducting assessments, writing reports and running therapy sessions (groups or individual) for a varied population of 0-5 year olds including children with Language disorders and delays, Social Communication Disorders, Speech difficulties, stammering, Down Syndrome, general delay. You will also have opportunity for delivering training to parents, HVs and Nurseries. You may work in a variety of settings - Health Centres, Childrens Centres, (pre-)schools and patients homes.

You will have opportunity to work alongside SLTs with specialist caseloads including the school aged stammering service, children with an acquired brain injury and clients with dysphagia.
