Full Job Description
This role will cover two out of three clinical areas, schools, early years or complex needs, depending on your areas of clinical interest and experience. Ideally you will have dysphagia training and experience to help manage our caseload of children with eating and drinking needs. The successful candidate will have an allocated caseload of named settings where they will provide assessment, recommendations, and therapy to the children alongside supporting parents and staff. You will be liaising closely with staff to support children's speech and language needs through the universal, targeted and specialist model. You will also have opportunity to help shape our service and implement different ways of working. The successful candidate will be supported to develop their clinical knowledge and leadership skills., To formulate, evaluate and review individual specialised speech and language therapy management and treatment plans using clinical reasoning skills and knowledge of diagnosis and a wide range of treatment skills appropriate to children and young people with communication difficulties, working at all times in partnership with parents, preschool/school staff, and if appropriate the children themselves.
